Requirements
– Laptop / PC
– FAST internet connection Wired connection preferred
– External HIGH quality webcam 16:9 video ratio preferred
Camera Position
4th Moharram Relay – Camera must be placed at the front of the Majlis facing Mumineen Marado
Strict Regulations
– No ladies should be seen
– No screens or projectors should be in view
– Camera should be placed at a height that shows the full Majlis
– Camera should be in stable position with zero movement
Step 1
Download and install Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder from here:
http://cdn.alvazarat.org/fmle.msi
Step 2
– Navigate to Streamname Generator (https://relay.leicesterjamaat.com/streamname-generator/)
– Select your Jamiat and Jamaat and click Generate
– Download the generated XML file
– SAVE your HLS Stream Name, your RTMP stream name, and your TEST Player URL
– If you Jamaat/Jamaat is not listed, select nearest one and inform us
– Each stream name and streaming profile is unique so please don’t share or create more than one
Step 3
– Open Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder
– If your webcam is configured correctly you should see your video in the preview. If not, check the “DEVICE” tab and select the correct webcam.
– If you’re webcam is not found, please troubleshoot and relaunch Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder.
Step 4
– Click “FILE” then “OPEN PROFILE”
– Select the XML file that was generated in Step 2
– If you receive a “Profile Validation” error, press “OKAY”
– Yout should now see your video showing in the preview and all settings will be filled including your stream name
Step 5
– Press the green “START” button
– Your stream is now live on the server
– Your window will switch to “Encoding Log” and show “Streaming to Primary” in the bottom left corner
Step 6
– TEST your stream
– OPTION #1: Open your TEST PLAYER URL from Step 2
– OPTION #2: Open your HLS URL from Step 2 on your mobile device (not laptop/PC)
– If you see your stream, YOU ARE NOW READY.
